Bare Escentuals and their great commercials

Hey Guys,

I am sitting here at the computer. It’s pretty late and I am watching an info commercial about Bare Minerals. Which is ran by Bare Escentuals. Bare Escentuals was posted in the past in the category going public. Where the company filed a registration to trade their company publicly.

You can learn a lot about a company by watching its advertising. If I was a woman, this commercial would have me sold. This isn’t a cheesy infomercial, like all the others. It appeals to womens feelings and looks, a double combo. They make it like they are talking directly to you when selling.

They also, create the best selling factor in the commercial, Proof. They have one women, that puts on the make-up infront of the cameras. Now, I am a guy and I was still able to tell a difference. The woman didn’t need makeup. Still the differences, were exactly what they said would be.

Besides, Bare Escentuals being able to create great commercials. How good is their product Bare Minerals? I would like to know for investment purposes. If their is any women out there that has tried Bare Escentuals. Please, comment about the product.

Thanks for Visiting

I have been a BE users for over 4 years now and stil loving it! Not only the color works great, not many people can tell I’m wearing make up. Best of all, you can mix your own color according to the season. I make it darker in the summer and bit lighter in the winter.

I have used it for 8 months or so, have 2 women in my office and my mother converted, all because they asked what I was doing differently. I do need makeup, I have acne scars and very large pores. Bare Minerals make me look fresh and radiant w/o looking like I wear makeup. My mother looks younger and the 2 girls in my office look great and constantly gush about how many compliments they get.

Do you know when they are going public? I would put ever spare penny I have towards their stock.

Hey Stephanie,

I don’t know when the company will be going public. They haven’t made an official statement about it yet. When I was watching CNBC financial news. They were estimating around the end of september.

Also, I assume the stock will cost more than 12 dollars per share. Since a director of the board. Just bought the stock at a little over $12 per share.

keep up to date with it at.

I am a Bare Escentuals user and absolutely love the products. As a woman, it is a much more natural look than standard make-up and I like that especially as I get older. Check out Ebay if you are wondering about the popularity of it-it sells!!

Hey undream!

I have a question. I am a TOTAL newbie at this. Started up an ETrade account, etc, cause I truly want in on this and have been stocking your links, waiting.
You seem nice, so I’ll ask you my stupid-questions.

It says that on Tuesday they: Registration of securities [Section 12(b)] Acc-no: 0001047469-06-012066 (34 Act)

Does that mean it should be released soon? Don’t they generally start announcing and going to the press about these dates?

  Nathan wrote @

Yeah, BARE should be trading soon Stephanie.
MSN states that it’s expected date to open trading. Is on week of sept. 25th.

This stock just might be a great buy and hold stock. Atleast for a few years.
While, I personally estimate that at the end of the year 2006. BARE should have an earnings per share of about $0.60. Which is alright.
At a bought price of $16 a share. This would mean at the year’s end. You would have a forward P/E of about 26 by the years end. Then next year, if every thing doubles such as, net profit and etc. Besides, the shares outstanding and stays the same. You will have bought the stock for a forward P/E of about a 13 Multiple. At the $16 dollar price.
This stock looks like a good “growth candidate” by the years end. People just might, run up the stock to 30. While you bought it at 15-17. But, you never know.
Also, right now I can’t get an accurate book value on the stock. As their shareholders equity is negative. Which after going public. The equity might turn positive. But, to justify the price of $16. You will need to have an forward stock holders equity of about 1.5 billion. The book value would be about $18.29. At the same amount of shares outstanding.
Remember, these are just estimates. Depending on what happens or doesn’t happen. Before buying any IPO. Plan on holding it for a few years atleast. IPO’s can be tricky. But, this looks like a fast growing company.

It looks like they are going to sell for $22 a share! That was a bit more than anyone I’ve spoken to projected!

  Nathan wrote @

Yeah, I see that.

I don’t know. That is a little too much for my liking, right now. But, if you had a portion set aside to invest in this stock. Let’s say $1,000. I guess, it would be alright to buy $200 worth. When the stock opens. Then $200 more next year. Or, when ever the stock drops. To suit your liking. Then so on.

This is what I would do. I wouldn’t put it all of the funds into it at once. At the price of 22.00. Atleast, for right now.

The company does have potential. For a long term investment though.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, I figured I’d just buy 10 shares worth, which sounds pathetic, but sit and see how that does. And look at where else I want to put the rest of the $$ that I had set aside for this.
